What We Do
At SAMOFAL DDD, we believe Somalia’s future rests on two vital foundations: the strength of its young people and the health of its land. As a UNCCD-accredited non-governmental organization, we work at the intersection of environmental protection and youth opportunity.
In many communities, young people are forced into land-damaging work—like cutting down trees for charcoal—simply to survive. We exist to change that narrative. By offering practical tech education, safe housing, digital healthcare, and green business opportunities, we give the next generation a path to build thriving, modern careers without harming the natural environment we call home.
How We Make an Impact
Restoring the Land: We work directly with communities to protect forests and recover degraded soil, creating clean economic alternatives so youth no longer have to rely on charcoal production.
Connecting Youth to the Digital World: Through local tech hubs and practical training, we equip young Somalis with future-ready skills so they can participate in the global digital economy.
Providing Safety & Care: We protect vulnerable children and youth by giving them secure living spaces, compassionate advocacy, and access to digital healthcare services.
Fueling Green Entrepreneurship: Through micro-grants and seed funding, we help young innovators start small, eco-friendly businesses that strengthen local economies.
"At SAMOFAL DDD, our goal isn't just to provide aid; it's to switch on that light. Once Somali youth understand that they have the power to restore their environment and earn a dignified living in the modern economy, nothing can hold them back."
